This sterling silver necklace features a poem by Christina Rossetti, that I've handwritten in spiral and etched into a hand formed, cupped pendant. My tiny bee design is etched in the center of the spiral. I've given this piece a rustic oxidized, brushed finish. The poem reads:
hurt no living thing:
ladybird, nor butterfly,
nor moth with dusty wing,
nor cricket chirping cheerily,
nor grasshopper so light of leap,
nor dancing gnat, nor beetle fat,
nor harmless worms that creep.

The pendant measures approximately 1-3/16” in diameter and the lettering is quite tiny. This piece hangs from a 20 inch oxidized sterling silver chain.
