This sterling silver necklace features a jumping spider etched into sterling silver. The model for this piece is my cute studio mate, Iris the tan jumping spider (platycryptus undatus). I’ve oxidized the etched image for contrast and I’ve given the background a hammered texture. The piece has been given a brushed finish. The rectangle measures 1-1/8” x 13/16” and hangs from an oxidized sterling silver chain.
